The Certificate in ECG Technician is a six-month vocational program designed to train students in the fundamentals of electrocardiography and cardiac monitoring. The course provides both theoretical and practical knowledge of heart anatomy, ECG machine operation, electrode placement, waveform interpretation, and patient care during cardiac procedures.
Students learn to record and analyze ECG readings, assist physicians in diagnosing heart conditions, and maintain equipment safety and hygiene standards. The program also includes basic communication and computer skills to prepare learners for professional healthcare environments.
Upon completion, students are qualified to work as ECG technicians in hospitals, diagnostic centers, and cardiac care units, supporting doctors in monitoring and managing patients with heart-related conditions.
Communicative English & Computer Fundamentals (AHE008‑01)
Develops essential communication skills for healthcare environments and introduces basic computer operations, documentation, and digital record‑keeping used in medical facilities.
Electrocardiogram (AHE008‑02)
Covers the principles of electrocardiography, including heart anatomy, electrical conduction, ECG machine operation, electrode placement, and interpretation of ECG waveforms for cardiac diagnosis.
Practical – I (AHE008‑03)
Hands‑on training in ECG machine setup, patient preparation, electrode application, and recording procedures under supervision.
Practical – II (AHE008‑04)
Focuses on advanced ECG techniques, troubleshooting, waveform analysis, and assisting physicians in identifying cardiac abnormalities.
